Recombinant Human PKC alpha/PRKCA Kinase is produced by Baculovirus-Insect Cells expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Ala2-Val672) of Human PRKCA (Accession #P17252) fused with a N-GST tag.
储存
Store at -70°C. This product is stable at ≤ -70°C for up to 1 year from the date of receipt. For optimal storage, aliquot into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature.
Aliquots below 10 μL are not advisable. Product must not be stored in diluted solutions. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.未开盖的干粉蛋白在 -20°C至-80°C可保存12个月；

The activity of PKCα is based on the ADP-GLO kinase activity assay quantifies kinase activity by measuring the conversion of ATP to ADP catalyzed by the kinase. Specific reagents are used to convert the ADP in the reaction back to ATP, resulting in the production of a luminescent signal.

Protein kinase C alpha (PKCα) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PRKCA gene. Protein kinase C (PKC) is a family of serine- and threonine-specific protein kinases that can be activated by calcium and the second messenger diacylglycerol. PKC family members phosphorylate a wide variety of protein targets and are known to be involved in diverse cellular signaling pathways. Protein kinase C-alpha (PKC-α) is a specific member of the protein kinase family. These enzymes are characterized by their ability to add a phosphate group to other proteins, thus changing their function. PKC-α has been widely studied in the tissues of many organisms including drosophila, xenopus, cow, dog, chicken, human, monkey, mouse, pig, and rabbit. Many studies are currently being conducted investigating the structure, function, and regulation of this enzyme. The most recent investigations concerning this enzyme include its general regulation, hepatic function, and cardiac function.
